Master Gardeners

Green thumbs. People who love gardening, digging in the dirt, even weeding. People who know a lot about making things grow and enjoy sharing their knowledge with each other and with neighbors. Community-minded folks who volunteer to share their gardening know-how and who plant and maintain public gardens.

A Utah Master Gardener program was developed to increase the availability of horticulture information throughout Utah. In essence, Master Gardeners complete a college-level horticulture class and 40 hours of community service. Through community service projects, Master Gardeners share what they have learned with lots of other people.
